Position: Network Security Engineer

Type: Full-Time (Minimum 40 hours/week)

Job Description: We are seeking a Network Security Engineer to join our team and help deliver comprehensive security solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will have expertise in configuring and managing firewalls, web proxies, and other network security devices, as well as experience in incident response, SOC operations, and network segmentation. This role will also involve working on SSL VPNs and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) implementations, ensuring secure and scalable networks

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, manage and troubleshoot firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Check Point) and web proxies (e.g., Blue Coat, Zscaler).

  • Implement and manage SSL VPN solutions for secure remote access.

  • Design and deploy Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) frameworks for enhanced security posture.

  • Conduct network segmentation to isolate and secure critical systems and applications.

  • Collaborate with Security Operations Center (SOC) teams to monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents.

  • Lead incident response efforts, including threat detection, containment, and remediation.

  • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices, such as NIST, GDPR, PCI DSS, or industry-specific requirements.

  • Provide technical guidance on security projects, including new deployments and upgrades.

Qualifications:

Educational Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information

Technology, or related field.

Certifications:

  • CCNA Security or CCNP Security – Preferred.

  • Industry certifications like CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), CISSP

  • (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), or CompTIA

Security+ are a plus.

Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with firewall platforms, proxies, and VPN

  • solutions.

  • Familiarity with Zero Trust architectures and implementation.

  • Strong understanding of incident response frameworks, including threat

  • detection and mitigation.

  • Expertise in network segmentation and policy enforcement.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in SOC environments, including using SIEM tools for monitoring and

  • analysis.

  • Knowledge of intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and DDoS

  • protection.

  • Familiarity with cloud security frameworks for hybrid or multi-cloud

  • environments.

  • Proficiency in scripting/automation for security processes is a plus (e.g., Python).

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
